Enlightening The Airwaves
Imagine waking in the middle of the night. You‘re depressed and unable to sleep. You flick on the telly and God speaks into the heart of your problem.
Or, your world is falling apart and you don‘t know where to turn. You‘re at the end of your tether. You turn on the box and God speaks into your situation.
Or, you‘re someone who wouldn‘t dream of going to church. In fact the thought of entering one of those big austere buildings is quite off-putting. Then one evening you want to be entertained, and on the TV there‘s the testimony of someone‘s changed life. God becomes a real.
We never know what goes on behind closed doors, but God does. He can reach into someone‘s world – right into their living room, through the simple act of turning on the TV. This is what motivates us to continue to make programmes.
We praise God and give Him the Glory, as we read reports and hear of how our programmes are being used all over the world. For example, we never imagined our series on Christians and Depression would have such an impact on broadcast television. We receive regular reports of people who, in their darkest hour, have encountered the 'Light of the World'
